HI - in Jan 2010 I reported an error reported by Seagates Seatools program in their forum.
It was a SMART error.  Using HDDscan I could see the item that tripped is the
UltraDMA crc SMART errors.

I'm still using the disk today, and the error is still in the SMART data.

My point is, that may have just been an error that happened once and not reoccurred.

Is it possible to clear the condition and see if the same error is repeated?

Secondly, running the SMART quick and full offline check stops and starts immediately.
Device is Seagate ST3250310AS
Thanks for anyninfo.

HDDScan 3.3 has SMART test bug, so it is not your drive

You cannot clear SMART on a drive w/o accessing vendor specific commands and I suggest you do not go this way because it might be dangerous for the drive and data on it
